NGO RANKS MEDIA IN KURDISTAN FOR REPORTING ON CORRUPTION


 The Stop Organization for Anti-Corruption released a list on Tuesday (July 26) ranking Kurdish media outlets reporting on corruption in the region and identifying NRT as the number one television channel for its reporting on the subject.
Stop Organization, a local association supported by the National Endowment for Democracy, was established in 2013 and wrapped up its Promote Law and Accountability in the Kurdistan Region project on Tuesday.
The organization ranked Awena newspaper as the top media organization in the region tackling corruption issues in 25 percent of its reporting. NRT came in second overall and first among television channels with 14 percent of coverage discussing corruption in the region.
 Stop Organization will announce its rankings in a   conference in Erbil.
